Legal Training Sessions


  • The training sessions which have been organized during the period of November 15, 2014- July 15, 2015

Till date, five training sessions were organized. These are the following:

First Legal Training Session – 6 March 2015

A training session was held on the 6th of March at the Darren Hotel Hall. The session was attended by around 30 participants from the staff of the concerned parliamentarian committees (labor, education, integrity) in addition to the media consultant of the speaker (head) of the parliament, representatives of some concerned CSOs, legal professional and professors in law schools.

This training session aimed at increasing the awareness and capacity of these actors and activists on issues related to legal aid, access to justice and legal rights.

Second Legal Training Session – 12 March 2015

A training session was held on the 12th of March at Kahrmana Place Hall in cooperation with Women for Peace organization.

The session gathered around 30 participants from the concerned civil society organizations.

The session highlighted the importance of access to justice and provided the participants with an overview on the legal rights and services offered by the help desk office.

Third Legal Training Session – 23 April 2015

Based on the Medical City request, a training session was held on the 23rd of April at its premises in Baghdad. The session was attended by around 30 participants.

This training session aimed at increasing the awareness and capacity of the participants on issues related to legal aid, access to justice and legal rights.

Fourth Legal Training Session – 3 May 2015

A training session was held on the 3rd of May 2015 at the Oil Cultural Center in Baghdad.

The session gathered around 35 representatives of concerned civil society organizations working in the field of human rights, social assistance, etc.

During the session, an overview on the importance of access to justice has been provided to the participants. The session aimed at increasing the awareness and capacity of the participants on issues related to legal aid, access to justice and legal rights.

Fifth Legal Training Session – 15 May 2015

A training session was held on the 15th of May in the cooperation with the Education Organization. The session was attended by around 30 participants.

This training session aimed at increasing the awareness and capacity of the participants on issues related to legal aid, access to justice and legal rights.
